Supporting Bird Recovery on Private Lands: A U.S. State Perspective
Road to Recovery, AFWA and NABCI offered a virtual engagement session focused on bird conservation on private lands from a U.S. State perspective. This session featured experts from state agencies, land trusts, and private landowners who discussed the importance of private land conservation for bird populations – and how to engage in this important work at the State level. With a significant portion of land in the U.S. privately owned, conservation efforts on these lands are crucial for bird recovery. The session highlighted best practices, partnership building, available resources, and success stories from landowners who have implemented bird-friendly practices on their properties.
